New Songs

Had some good suggestions for new songs to have a go at over the last couple of days, so we're going to go ahead and try them out. We're quite taken with "Ruby" from the Kaiser Chiefs, so we'll have a go at that. Also we fancy having a go at a few others too, so watch this space!

Bah!

So little time to do anything. Did a small amount of practice last night and once I got everything else done, that was it, no time left. And unlikely to get anything done today either as life's just too busy. What are you others getting done? Any practice?

Good weekend

Went to band rehearsal on Sunday and had a blast - great fun and things gelled well, even though we were all a bit rusty after the Christmas break. Lots still to work on but we're making progress! The 'stones stuff is great fun using the dropped G tuning and we're hoping to cover "Honky Tonk Women" as well as "Brown Sugar". The old favourites were also given an airing.

We must start thinking about putting a gig together soon though.

Thank god it's Friday

Must get some practice in - it's been a few days since I was able to play the guitar as I've been too busy. Even though it's been a short week, life is back to it's old hectic ways now . Still, got rehearsals to look forward to tomorrow !

I like the idea of doing some Police covers, especially "Every Breath you Take", so I must look for some tabs for that soon. Watch this space...
